He is a producer, director, and actor, particularly known for The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001), The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003) and The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (2002). He has been married to Eva G. Lindsten since 1970. They have two children.
